On March 8, 2025, the Vivekananda Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, under the umbrella of Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Puttur, organized a guest lecture on “Pros and Cons in the Era of Globalization: A Threat to Women in the Cyber World” at the P.G. Seminar Hall. This insightful event was spearheaded by the Gender Sensitization Committee at VIPS in celebration of International Women’s Day.

The program commenced with an invocation, followed by a warm welcome speech from Ms. Vidya Murugeshwari, the program coordinator. The esteemed speaker, Ms. Sangeetha S.M., Assistant Professor at Vivekananda Law College, Puttur, shed light on the challenges and threats women face in cyberspace due to globalization, emphasizing the importance of awareness and protective measures. The session provided an interactive platform for students and attendees to engage in discussions and seek clarifications on relevant concerns. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Nireeksha, expressing gratitude to the guest speaker, organizers, and all participants for their valuable contributions to making the event a success.
