On March 6, 2025, the Vivekananda Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, under the umbrella of Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Puttur, celebrated National Pharmacy Education Day to honor the birth anniversary of Prof. Mahadeva Lal Schroff, the Father of Pharmacy Education in India. The event highlighted his remarkable contributions to the field, including the introduction of the first pharmacy degree course in 1937 and the master’s course in 1940 at Banaras Hindu University with the support of Pt. Madan Mohan Malviyaji.

As part of the celebration, a guest lecture was delivered by Mr. Pramod Bhaskar Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, who emphasized the significance of pharmacy education and its evolving role in modern healthcare. His insightful session provided valuable perspectives to students and faculty members.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Vidya Murugeshwari, expressing gratitude to the resource person, organizers, and attendees for their participation in making the event a success.
